  • Jehovah's Witness

    Since I received a phone call from a Jehovah's witness recently, I thought I would give a statement about what our church believess about the trinity especially the person of Jesus.  

    Here is what we believe about Jesus as the incarnate Son of God, and Jesus as the eternal Son, and Word of God. 

    Jesus is the son of God from eternity past to present and on into the future.  He always has been and always will be.  However, in eternity past the incarnate "Son" of God had not yet been realized although His appearance was as certain as God's own existence. 

    When Jesus was born of the virgin Mary his Eternal Sonship was realized as He became the incarnate Son of God.  In scripture Jesus is referred to as "The Word" and as the "Word" He created all things and without Him nothing was made that has been made.  This title "The Word" in no way detracts from His ultimate purpose of becoming the incarnate Son of God and does not take anything from His pre-existence as, "The Son".
