Jehovah's Witness

I received a phone call from a Jehovah's witness today.  I thought about not talking with him since his number was blocked but decided to go ahead anyway.  He wanted to ask questions about our church and what we believed about the trinity.  The only problem was he did not want to talk he wanted to debate and argue.  I was sick and not in the mood.  If someone really wants to know what we believe they will ask the question, then wait on the other end while I explain it.  After that if they continue to have questions, we continue in that format.

This gentleman would not give an inch to allow me to explain our beliefs.

So here is what we believe about Jesus as the incarnate Son of God, and Jesus as the eternal Son, and Word of God.

Jesus is the son of God from eternity past to present and on into the future.  He always has been and always will be.  However, in eternity past the incarnate "Son" of God had not yet been realized although His appearance was as certain as God's own existence.

When Jesus was born of the virgin Mary his Eternal Sonship was realized as He became the incarnate Son of God.  In scripture Jesus is referred to as "The Word" and as the "Word" He created all things and without Him nothing was made that has been made.  This title "The Word" in no way detracts from His ultimate purpose of becoming the incarnate Son of God and does not take anything from His pre-existence as, "The Son".
