First Sunday at WSBC

As you arrive at West Sacramento Baptist Church you will notice that we want to keep the doors of the church open as much as we possibly can, as many days of the week as we can, because our mission is to reach people.

Because of this, we rent out our church to New Seasons Church that has services at an earlier time. 

If you arrive early, there are coffee and snacks in the fellowship hall. As you are waiting for our service to begin enjoying your coffee, I’m sure you will be fellowship with some of our members as well. The entire time you are here, I am sure You will find our people to be warm and welcoming.

 As you enter the sanctuary for our service, you will find the set up to be a little different. We employ the use of tables and chairs.  The reason we do this is not only for comfort but also to allow people to have something to write on while they take notes. 

I have been licensed and ordained for over 40 years. However, my ministry here at West Sacramento Baptist Church only began about 12 years ago. Prior to coming to WSBC I was a high school special education teacher.

I believe the best method of disseminating information, (i.e. the Bible) is through the process of teaching. I have sat through many sermons which I had questions regarding, and by the end of the service had forgotten what I wanted to ask.

In our service, you are free to ask questions if there’s something you do not understand or want clarification on. Jesus was not known as a preacher, he was known as a teacher.

I believe we should follow in his footsteps.
